After two years of existence of Rugby in the Republic of San Marino, the Federation is proud to assert that Rugby has become a reality based on the commitment and enthusiasm which exists around this sport.
The 2007/2008 season will be crowded with sports events and also with major milestones such as the affiliation to the Olympic Committee of San Marino.

The major event of the beginning of the season was the first internal Championship in the Republic of San Marino with participation of 4 teams representing cities (Castelli) in a Rugby Sevens tournament. The City of Serravalle won this first trophy.

On September 23rd, a promotional event called "The Rugby Day” was held on the new field of the city of Chiesanuova which was inaugurated on this occasion. Various activities and a tournament between 3 teams allowed the public and well known figures to discover Rugby.

On September 30th, a group of the Sanmarinse Rugby went to France to attend a World Cup game between Scotland and Italy in St Etienne and took the opportunity of this trip to have a friendly match against a club in the Grenoble area.

On October 8th the only Club of the young Federation, the Rugby Club San Marino, started its first official competition by participating in the Italian Championship Series C of the Region of Marches.
On November 18th the Club played in its 6th match and was honourably placed in 3rd position in the group with 4 victories and 2 defeats.
